Beseech Fanclub Interview with Lotta

We were a bit curious about what it was like for Lotta
when she was over in Russia to participate in a video for the
russian band ANJ. So we got together with her for a chat.

1. Hi Lotta, welcome home.
Thank you, it’s good to be home again.
2. So you’ve been in Russia
to participate in an ANJ video. What was the videoshoot like?
It’s been really exciting and a huge experience! I’m
really glad that I got the chance to do this, it’s not every
day you get the chance to play actress :) I’ve learned a
lot and met some really nice people. Sure it was hard as well
since we shot at night and when you’ve been awake for 24
hours you get a bit tired :=)
3. Was it much different from the
videshoots you’ve done with Beseech?
The biggest difference was that there was a lot more money behind
this than we’ve had with Beseech. It was professional videomakers
with expensive equipment and everything was very well planned.
4. How were you received in Russia?
Very, very good. Natalie from CD-Maximum took good care of me
and Henry from Sphia, who was also invited to participate in this
video. She took us to different restaurants, gave us a sightseeing
of Moscow, picked up and dropped us off everywhere and acted as
our indispensable interpreter. At the end of our stay we called
her our shadow since she was always with us!
5. What was the guys in the band
like?
I mostly met Anatoli, since he was in charge of the entire videoshoot,
and he was really nice. An able businessman, who seems to enjoy
life, simply a cool guy.
6. How long were you there? How
long did the videshoot take?
I was there for 6 days. One day was for recording the vocals
in the studio and 2 days and nights for the videshoot. Then there
were some preparations before the shoot with trying on different
clothes, jewellery, shoes and so on.
7. When will the video be finished?
The last thing I heard was that the video is cut and now it’s
time for the computer graphics to be done. I assume it will be
done in a couple of weeks. It’s going to be really exciting
to see the final result!
8. Have you seen anything from
it yet?
No I haven’t seen anything from it. But I did get a CD
with the song.
9. Did you have any influence on
your part in the video?
Hmm, well the only thing I mentioned was the cleavage on the
dress. I don’t think that was appreciated by everyone involved,
but personally I’m getting tired of the fixation on breasts
that’s everywhere these days. Sure it can be beautiful with
a generous cleavage, but there’s a limit somewhere. Less
is more as you say….
10. The clothes you had on in the
video was really nice. Did you choose them yourself?
The dress was made up and almost ready when I got there. But
the shoes and the black jacket that I’m wearing in the beginning
of the video, we bought in Moscow before the shoot.
11. Did you get to keep them? Maybe
something to use on gigs in the future? ?
Yes they were very generous and let me keep all the clothes from
the shoot. I really appreciated that!
12. Did you get any chance to see
anything of Moscow?
Yes, I got a quick sightseeing with Natalie. I saw the Kreml
and the Red Square, which was unfortunately closed due to a demonstation.
We were going to go on a boat tour but the rain was pouring down
that day so it was cancelled. But hopefully I’ll be able
to see more of Moscow another time.
13. Finally, we’ve heard
that you guys has started to work on new songs for the fifth album.
Can you tell us something about that?
Yes, we’ve started to work on new songs again. We’ve
been working a bit separately and will meet up this weekend to
put it all together. It feels really exciting and inspiring.
