The gig at Kåren in Örebro (Sweden)

Audience: 100
Length: 40 min

I took a ride with the band to Örebro. Well actually I drove them there :) We had a fun ride there, with our hopes up for a really great gig. We thought that students knew how to have a good time....man were we wrong.
To there defence we'll have to say that there had been a festival in town for two days so everyone was a bit hung over. But we kind of thought that, that was, what attending college is all about. Just a hundred people showed up, so there weren't that much happening in front of the stage. But those who were there did what they could, our hats off for you guys.

Around midnight Beseech entered the stage and got to a very cranky start with Manmade Dreams, some pretty big mistakes in that one, but I don't think that many in the audience noticed it.
After this things got a bit better, I guess they got better focused after the mistakes in the opening song. Beseech used the same playlist as in both Stockholm and Borås, which means no slow songs, just the fast ones. And for this night I think that was a good call, I don't think the slower songs would have gained them any new fans.
To be truly honest, Beseech didn't make any of their better performances this night, but hey let's face it, they're only human right? A long day with loads of waiting around, small crowd and so on, doesn't really pose as the perfect conditions.
I'm sure that the next gig at the 2000 Decibel Festival will be a lot better. We're only 2 weeks from that gig now, and we'll be there to give you a report from it.

For me personaly the kings of this night was Marble Arch, which played before Beseech this evening. They also shared the stage at Café 44 in Stockholm last week.
This is a really good band, if you haven't checked them out yet, do it as soon as you can. All in all great songs, even if a few of them didn't make me go crazy. But these guys are really worth checking out live, frontman Johan Wadelius is something speciel to watch on stage, a great voice and a presence on stage that is just great. Do check this guys out, they've got their debut album out now called "Another sunday bright".

To round things up, I'd just like to say that the arrangements were very good at Kåren, great guys who handled the stage, the staff in the bar and everyone else.
Special thanks to Lollo, Elinor and Josefin who took good care of all of us and for setting up a great afterparty in the kitchen. Thanks a lot!!

Well, that's it for now...see you next time.
