The gig at 2000 Decibel Festival

Audience: 300
Length: 30 min

It’s time to summarize yet another Beseech gig this spring, things are starting to move so we can only hope that it’ll continue that way too. This gig was at the 2000 Decibel festival, which is held every may in Bengtsfors, which is situated right in the middle of the green forest on the border to Värmland.
I’ve missed the last gigs so I was looking forward to this gig and my expectations were fulfilled. About 300 persons had gathered in the small tent ant the temperature rose quickly. It seems like the band has adjusted rather well after Klas leaving the band, even though it was a bit stiff in the beginning. Erik had gotten himself a stomach ache which I guess is not that good when you’re a singer. Well, the loosened up rather fast and the 30 minutes they had at their disposal was over way to fast.
Favourites like “Velvet Erotica” and “Shadowscape” was left out to make room for the new material, but if you don’t have more time you just don’t have more time. I even got Jonas to make a drumsolo(!), it only lasted for about a hundred of a second, but it still was a drumsolo…thank you Jonas!.
To finish off it was a really good gig given the circumstances and the new songs, which hasn’t gotten any name yet shows that their new material is holding a high class.
And bye the way, I almost forgot something, I’m not the only one who want’s to hear “Rainbow Man” live…
