The gig at Stora Torget, Borås (Sweden)

Audience: Estimated around 1000
Length: 35 min

Thursday evening summertime in Beseech's hometown of Borås, means that stores keep open late and artists playing at the town square.
And this thursday it was time for Beseech to make their debut on a "Summer Thursday". Well, it wasn't really only Beseech debuing, harder music has never been a part of the lineup on these thursdays before. So it was an extra special night this time.

The weather being a bit boring made us a bit worried that not that many would show up. But we didn't have to worry. The most fun part about the audience this time was the vast mix of people. Aged from 2 and up there was a fun mix of old fans and new....and I guess people who are not and will not be fans.
During the soundcheck an older lady complained and asked why they had to play so loud :)
Well, we're all different....

The front row was filled up with dedicated fans who did a great work in giving Beseech their support. It's nice to see that the band has such dedicated fans wherever you come, although they're not a very big band yet.
As promised Beseech were joined on stage by Manne from their studio (Studio Mega). Having two guitars again really made the sound even better, personally I hope Manne will be a permanent part of Beseech when performing live.
The rather big stage did not seem to bother the guys, quite the opposite really. Erik and Lotta sure has improved their work on stage and really do use the entire stage today, moving around, switching places. Another good thing this time was that you were actually able to see the entire band. Usually Mikael and Jonas are hidden somewhere in the back, really hard to spot, but this time everyone in the band was seen perfectly.

Opening Manmade Dreams got the crowd started in a magnificent way, good choice of opening song I'd say. And after this is was full throttle all the way to finishing Gimme Gimme.
Beseech almost never do a bad gig anymore, they've gotten really professional and you can tell that they've been around for a good while now.

I was positioned by the merchandise table during the show and was starting to think that no one would come visit me there. One record sold before and during the show made me a bit worried. But after the gig was done I was overwelmed by fans wanting to buy t-shirts and records. Not to mention all the little kids who wanted to get their hands on the free stickers :)

Well, thanks to everyone involved in making this a really good evening in our hometown. See you all next time.
