The gig at Belsepub in Gothenburg (Sweden)

Audience: About 75
Length: 1 Hour

To be perfectly honest, this wasn't the most fun gig I've been to with Beseech. The crowd was small but did their best to scream and jump and the sound wasn't all that good. It's so hard to get a good sound in a small club like this but soundengineer Robert did what he could and the outcome wasn't that bad.
But as always Beseech made a great performance although the crowd was as small as it was, but these guys are getting all to professional by now to let that show.
And it was almost as playing at your home court, loads of friends were there and we had the privelige to meet up with our friends from Why Not MC who had travelled from Vetlanda just to see Beseech this evening. That's what I call real fans, I really hope that we'll be able to come back to them sometime soon, it was so much fun there.

Well back to this night now, opening act this night was a band called Fingerspitzgefül (or something like that, not easy to spell :)). I had never heard of them before but they turned out to kick some serious butt. Straight on kickass rock 'n' roll, you got swetty just by looking at these guys on stage, really massive, do check them out if you can.

Due to the lack of people in the club Beseech didn't go on stage until 1.30 am which is a bit late for my taste, but that's just the way it is sometimes. Well after waiting around for about 4 hours Beseech were getting ready to get on stage, and so they did, opening with Fiction City as they have done the last couple of gigs. I think the mix of songs from the last three albums is just perfect, they've picked out the best from all of them and made a perfect set.
Lotta did her wonderful version of Friend Emptiness once again without Erik on stage, and it was just as good this time as in Bengtsfors a couple of weeks ago. Manmade Dreams always manages to create a crowd wildly jumping and screaming.
And to my own personal happiness Beseech used Velvet Erotica from the Black Emotions album as an extra this night, that's my personal favourite from that album so at least there was one happy person there. And as always Beseech finished off with the ABBA-cover Gimme, Gimme, which is always a good singalong finish.

The entire show was videotaped so we hope we'll be able to bring you some liveclips from this gig later on. Until then, enjoy the pics.

After the gig Beseech went on home to Borås after some trouble with an elevator, or at least the stuff that was in it. But that's a totally different story....

Thanks to Marcus and Mikael for all their help when we packed all of the suff...and special thanks to Marcus for the help with the elevator :)
